Anyone know if McDonald’s is joining the list of companies dropping their name from the logo? I just noticed that the sign for our newly renovated location has the golden arches and simply “Drive Thru” below them, no McDonald’s whatsoever.

Uber’s biggest problem is going to be the FAA. It will require moving mountains for the FAA to give in to Uber’s request for dedicated airspace for air taxis. Definitely agree that any dates they put out are a pipe dream.

I don’t understand the drive for flying cars — driverless cards are a much simpler goal with a clear value proposition and path to execution. The idea that the FAA would allow vehicles to take off and fly with anything less than a highly trained pilot in a heavily restricted air space is insane.

Look at what happened in the aftermath of the 1977 PanAm building helicopter crash — completely killed helicopter travel into NY. The first incident would shut everything down.

Huge advances in automated air traffic control would also be required (and approved). I read that Boeing is working on one (for drones and unmanned) but I can only imagine how long it will take to come to fruition
