Unfortunately we have had to update how we handle spam comments due to Akismet insane price increases. We are now using invisible reCaptcha, some users are getting the following issue ‘reCaptcha validation fails. The response parameter is missing.’ when leaving a comment. To fix this issue try clearing the cache on your browser, this should fix the issue. Bit annoying but unfortunately not much we can do about it.
A few other tidbits:
- People seem to be abusing emojis lately, writing AI style posts in an attempt to farm referrals. If this continues we will likely have to ban emojis.
- User profiles are coming. When this happens we will likely add the ability to add your website URL to your user profile but remove the website feature from your name. Again this is being considered due to people trying to farm referrals with largely useless comments.
