Fine print excludes gift cards, with Retailmenot it seems like sometimes it works with certain merchants and not others. I have no idea if it will work with Office Depot or not, my guess is no but happy to be proven wrong. View previous & current Retailmenot deals here.

  • I think the issue with third party gift cards is that they are sold at a different site: https://giftcardmall.officedepot.com/deal/default - when you try to buy the third party gift card, Office Depot sends you to the giftcardmall.officedepot.com site, so it seems that buying a gift card from Office Depot might not track as a purchase from Office Depot. Not sure.

  • Can i pay for my items with an office depot gift card in full and STILL get the RMN credit?

    • afaik, to get the credit, you must use a linked CC/DC and I'm not sure if store GCs can be linked. IME, as long as I use any of my linked CCs, I get instant notification of a pending reward.

  • There're also 25 off 125+ and 40 off 200+ codes in RMN app. Not sure if those are stackable with this.

  • I just chatted with a retailmenot rep and they said that anything other than office depot gift cards qualify for the deal. You can use discount and promo codes as long as your total is $30. He did say redeeming office depot rewards still qualifies for the deal.

    • Can you confirm the 30% off $30 purchase code works with this deal? Meaning, will purchased still qualify for cash back?

    • Are you referring to the gift card exclusion in particular? It appears that 3rd party GCs are run through GCM and likely to be excluded

  • Should be stackable with the current Amex Offer for “10% back on Office Supply Retailers.” That would bring the $30 purchase down to $12, pretax.

    • This offer came in as 5$ max cashback for me. Might be different for others. Its worth checking

    • Hmm... I thought that offer was just for Staples. Was there an AMEX offer I missed? Have a blessed day!!

    • IME with in-store deals, once the credit is available, I was able to cash it out via paypal. Compared to other app that requires a minimum of $20 or $25 to cash out, RMN allowed me to cash out for less than that so I think they have no minimums yet.

  • Hunting now for an after purchase pricematch. RTMN pays as long as the initial order value exceeds the stated threshold.
