Citi and AT&T announced today a revamp on their Citi AT&T Points Plus Card (here’s our old review from 2022). The card has an easy $250 signup bonus, gets $10/month discount per line and also for internet, earns 3x gas/EV, and can earn up to $20 statement credit each month with $1,000 spend.

- Signup Bonus: earn $250 statement credit after spending $500 in the first 3 months. The acquisitions bonus is not available if you have previously received a new account bonus for an AT&T Points Plus Card from Citi account in the past 48 months.
- Ongoing Bonus: Cardholders can earn $20 statement credit every billing cycle you spend $1,000. (There used to be a requirement for paperless billing and autopay, but that has been removed. I believe this also used to be only for AT&T customers and it’s now for any cardholder.)
- Cardholders get $10/month discount per AT&T phone line and also $10/month discount for internet when you pay with your Citi AT&T card or with your bank. (Discount shows up after 2 or 3 billing cycles. Autopay and paperless is required for the $10 discount.) Typically you need to pay with bank only to get the $10/monthly autpay discount from AT&T, and now AT&T Points Plus cardholders can get the $10 discount when paying with their bank or with their card which allows them to earn 2x on the purchase.
- No annual fee.
- No foreign transaction fees.
- World Mastercard.

Card Rewards
The card earns ThankYou points:
- Earn 3x ThankYou Points for every $1 spent at gas stations and EV.
- Earn 2x ThankYou Points for every $1 spent at AT&T.
- Earn 2x ThankYou Points for every $1 spent at grocery stores, including grocery delivery services.
- Earn 1x ThankYou Point for every $1 spent on all other purchases.
Our Verdict
This card was released in 2022 and is getting a nice refresh here. It’s all positive changes:
- Higher signup bonus and lower spend requirement
- Adds 2x for AT&T spend which is nice since that you can put your monthly bill on the card and earn 2x + $10 discount
- Keeps the $20 monthly statement credit
- Adds EV at 3x
- No longer any foreign transaction fees
The $250 bonus with low spend will interest a lot of people. And many will find the ongoing $20 monthly credit interesting long-term as well, effectively 2% cashback + points.
This card also seems like a long-term keeper card for someone who uses AT&T postpaid, especially someone with multiple lines and a big phone/internet bill.
