Update 2/20/19: People are reporting that this has now been fixed. Looks like only some purchases (e.g those counting towards sign up bonuses) have been fixed. Whereas others that give credits haven’t.
Many people have reported issues with rewards, credits, and bonuses from purchases on American Express cards made on January 31st. Apparently, some sort of system glitch caused the purchases not to count for any sort of reward or offer. Far as I’ve heard, the issue affected January 31st only, not before that or after that.
Some people didn’t get a signup bonus based on spend made on that day (it might be that spend made on that day won’t trigger regular rewards either). And some people had airline incidental purchases made on that day which have not yet been reimbursed. Some haven’t gotten their dining credit. Some haven’t gotten their Saks credit. I haven’t heard whether the issue affected Amex Offer credits from purchases made that date.
It might not be worth contacting Amex yet since reps will likely just say that they have 6-8 weeks (or some other number) for these things to show up. A reason to contact them would be to ensure they are aware of the issue. I usually take the lazy route and give it a couple of months before taking action.
In any case, if you had a large reward due for a 1/31 purchase, keep an eye out to ensure it comes through.
