Our Verdict
Even though gift cards are clearly listed on that page, when you look at the weekly ad you see the following:
I suspect this means you don’t actually get $20 in BonusCash from purchasing $50 in these gift cards and instead get whatever is listed in the above ad. I think that’s exceptionally misleading from RiteAid and they need to update the landing page to avoid confusion.
Best items to use the Bonus cash @RiteAid – Folks pls suggest
Buy Persil – it is on sale for $4.99; there is a $3.00 off coupon in Sunday paper insert (or there is a $2.00off printable on web); so it brings the price down to $1.99 (or $2.99); get 10 (or 6) for your $20 bonus cash; then do laundry, lots of laundry…………………
Confirmed with chat rep that if I purchased a $50 best buy gift card I would receive a total of $28 in wellness cash. Going to do this today and will report back tomorrow if it works.
I received only $8 with Best Buy gift card, not $28

FYI:
They removed earning Plenti and now give this wellness cash.
YOU CAN SPEND PLENTI POINTS THERE, BUT NOT ON GIFT CARDS.
Anothe example, how PLenti program is big flop.
The new Wellness program also doesn’t allow gift card redemptions.
yea. i still use plenti for gas. its very clear now where this is going. RIP.
The gift cards don’t count for the spend $50 on Bonus Cash Bash items. You need to find items in the ad that have the special logo.
On the landing page it lists the gift cards, it’s very deceptive.
How is it deceptive?
On the front page it clearly shows that only items marked with the stamp “Bonus Cash PARTICIPATING ITEM” are included in this promo.
None of the gc in the circular have that stamp.
Because there is/was a landing page with the image in the post, below it there was 20 or so items (no stamps) that included gift cards. It makes it look like they are eligible. It might be clear in the weekly ad, but it definitely wasn’t clear in the online landing page.
