Our Verdict
Rocketmiles has been aggressively pushing out the promotions recently, it looks like they are moving from a standard 3,000 mile bonus to 5,000 miles. They have also been offering a lot of 500 mile bonuses for existing customers as well. This might have something to do with their rumored acquisition by Priceline or it might just be to compete with the massive bonuses that Kaligo are currently offering (PointsHound are also offering some mediocre bonuses).
Rocketmiles is also offering the same 5,000 mile bonus, but for Southwest airlines (ends today) and 3,000 bonus for all of their other travel partners. If you don’t already have an Etihad guest account, you can get an additional 1,000 miles for joining.
As a side note, do readers think these should be a separate post? Or should I just update the Rocketmiles review and then tweet the new bonuses out? I’ve been doing a mixture of this depending on how big the bonus actually is, but I’d like to hear your thoughts.
