Sam’s Club: 25% Off Select Third Party Giftcards 8/4 Only

The Offer

Direct link to offer (this just shows what cards will be available. This is also our affiliate link). You can view the actual promo on p14 here.

  • On 8/4 Sam’s Club is offering 25% off ‘extreme value gift cards’

The Fine Print

  • 08/04 only
  • In store and online
  • Valid on extreme value gift cards only

Our Verdict

Usually these cards are 20% off or thereabouts, so not a huge savings there. If you need a Sam’s Club membership they are on special on Groupon currently, more details here. Unfortunately there is no active American Express sync offer currently, so hopefully one pops up before then.

I don’t think there is any way around to get these gift cards without having their membership, right?

You used to be able to buy certain products online without a membership. Pretty sure I bought a VGC in 2015 but things have changed probably.

BTW DOC, your ‘Direct link to offer’ lands on Rakuten rewards day affiliate link.

you can still buy that I think. I bought a mastercard gift card 1 months ago

Costco sells coldstone gift cards normally $70 for $100, better than the above offer.

Standard pricing at Costco for Smash Burger and Krispy Kreme are $75 for $100.

DoC: “Unfortunately there is no active American Express sync offer currently….”

I hazard to offer that there actually is a current Amex offer for Sam’s Club — but it expires on July 31st ($15 back with $50+ purchase, on-line only) DDG had that offer posted on July 2nd too. https://dannydealguru.com/2018/07/02/sams-club-amex-offer-5/

I can confirm current offer stacks with these “extreme value cards” — and very nicely too… Think steak dinners for $6 at Logan’s. 🙂

I’m with you though in rooting for yet another Amex offer to appear after the current offer expires…. 🙂

ps, if folks are in this for re-selling, check carefully if there’s a market for “extreme value” cards of interest. Raise, for example, increases seller margins significantly (not in your favor) and requires sellers to snail mail in physical cards that you’d be getting for many of the more local/obscure merchant cards… (and many more they don’t even list — buyer beware, check carefully first.)

First Watch would be my vote. But, that extreme price doesn’t really seem extreme in savings beyond the normal.
