Samsung Pay: 20% Off Children’s Place, Overstock, Panera Bread & More

The Offer

Find the Gift Cards tab in the Samsung Pay app to get this deal. You can choose to buy it for yourself or to gift it to someone else.

Back to School Sale: Samsung Pay is selling digital gift cards at a discount for in-app purchase.

  • Get a 20% discount on the following gift card brands (Giftcardwiki rates in brackets, we’ve just listed the highest rate and haven’t taken into account physical/e-giftcars): Children’s Place (72%), Famous Footwear (74%), Gap Options (76%), JCPenny (72.1%), Overstock.com (80%), Panera Bread (76%), Regal Entertainment Group (75%), Spafinder Wellness 365 (65%), & TGI Fridays (70%)

The Fine Print

  • Valid until June August 31st, 2016
  • Max 5 gift cards total for the entire promotion
  • Max 2 gift cards or $500 per day, whichever comes first

The ‘two per day’ isn’t being enforced, and the actual limit seems to be $200 per day (four $50 gift cards). The ‘max 5 gift cards total’ is a new limitation, and it might be enforced.

Our Verdict

This doesn’t earn 3% back on the Citi AT&T card, Chase INK won’t work as Chase business cards are not supported. This isn’t as good as their previous gift card sale, none of these cards are profitable for resale (Overstock will quickly drop from that 80% rate I believe), but might be a good chance to get some of these gift cards if you shop at any of the retailers regularly. Samsung Pay also have a referral program if you haven’t signed up already.

Chase is most certainly supported on Samsung p
Pay. It’s not supported as part of Android Pay.

It’s just the business cards that aren’t supported. Freedom and CSP work fine.
