If you have Platinum this means you now earn 15 points instead of the standard 3. This seems like a very generous promotion, but remember that Samsung devalued how much points are worth and also reduced the earning rate.

My account is showing 159 points on 29 purchases for June, so the 15x is not applying to the whole month. If I’m doing the math right, I got 3x for the first 23 transactions, then 15x for the last 6. Right now looks like it only applies from when the promotion started going forward, but not retroactively to all of June.

I had pretty much given up on the rewards program. Not only had they slashed earnings, but a lot of decent redemption options had gone away. I let some of my points expire because there was nothing decent to get with them.
However, a couple positive events occurred this month. The 5x earning is one. They also brought back a Lyft $10 promo code for 2K points (I have not seen that in months). Additionally, they were giving out 2K points in honor of “Galaxy Day” if you visited certain stores (Walmart, Target, Best Buy, etc). Small victories, but I got $10 off my Lyft ride today because I went to Target yesterday.
Samsung Pay is a scam. I was suppose to get cash back and I saw that in my account. 12 days later it got adjusted to zero. I called and opened a ticket and it been three week have not heard anything back.
I quit using it as there is no reason to go out of my way and get nothing in return.
By my count the 15 Samsung points are worth a little over 7 cent, so you’d have to use Samsung Pay over 133 times this month to get over 2,000 points which is the first real redemption of $10 Lyft. This doesn’t seem worth anyone’s time to go out of their way for.
If I remember correctly though, Samsung Pay only gives out points for the first 50 transactions each month. Unless they changed that.
