Our Verdict

If you have a store near you then this should be a nice and easy $10. Suspect we will see a similar deal (but maybe only for $5) for Kmart shortly as well.

How about Kmart?

With the previous $15 off $15 text promotion, you could use multiple coupons at separate times even though you used the same Shop Your Way phone number at checkout. They appear to have coded something to prevent you from being able to do that this time. I tried redeeming a code that my mother sent me after already redeeming one on my account and it came up “already used” even though she didn’t use it. I know one other person who experienced the same thing. So it looks like only one coupon per account this time.

Redeemed mine today. Spent 10.38…so paid .38. At the bottom of the receipt, I got $20 off of $20 starting tomorrow. I really dislike going to Sears, but I’ll probably go back tomorrow. Can’t complain too much haha.

Thanks for posting, DoC. Lucky to still have a functioning va Sears nearby — barely, yet it still survives…. $20+ in the family — is $20. 🙂

Thanks, much appreciated. Remember to spend $10 or more, sometimes a purchase of $9.99 or less will not trigger the offer. Also, might or might not work on other category items, so the safest bet is non-clearance clothing or household items like sheets and towels.

Clothing $10 and over without an additional promo discount. I can think of a dress shirt hanging on a display right now.

Thanks! I got my coupon. Also note that “Not Valid at closing stores”
though I’m not sure how strictly they enforce that policy

I would say it’s enforceable. The remaining inventory is expected to bring in revenue they expect, not a happy customer with a discount.

The computer system enforces it, for the most part. Try it at a liquidating store if you like, but don’t go too far out of your way.

Grave robbing @ XMAS….priceless.

That’s a funny description, even if it’s perfectly appropriate and acceptable (and in the best interest of consumers) to take advantage of the best deals. More concerning is the news that executives st the top are “grave robbing” as many millions as they can take before the wheels finally fall off the wagon.
