Shop Your Way Rewards: Uber Now Limited To $20 Per Month/$1 Per Ride

Shop Your Way Rewards is making changes to the Uber partnership. Previously there was no cap on the amount of points you could earn monthly,  they are now capping that at a maximum of $20 per month. You’ll also earn $1 back in points per ride, so basically a maximum of 20 rides per month will result in a credit. Previously they sometimes offered up to $4 per ride, so it’ll be interesting to see if they still offer those targeted bonuses or not.

This deal sucks even worse than you think now. I just shopped on sears. I had 44.63 saved up for 2 months….points expire after 2 months so you can only max at 40 dollars with this new deal. WELL…its 59 dollars to qualify for free shipping….AND your points applied dont count towards free shipping dollars. AND….they chop up the shipping into two separate orders for 6.50 a piece for 13.00 and you pay about 3 dollars tax. Bottom line…best deal with sears….save for 2 months…get 40 dollars in stuff but you are going to have to pay an additional 15 dollars in shipping and tax….BEST DEAL. Bottom line is this ‘shop your way uber’ thing has turned to crap.

I hope they make it so your rewards don’t expire than. Gonna suck I had this for year and half. I got so much free stuff. May need to see what others offer than. Got $180 worth of stuff for my husband today. And still got $95 in rewards. This $20 cap sucks I can do that in a week. Looks like uber is loosing some business. Weather is getting better so I can walk to bus stop. Instead

the last couple of weeks it worked on Uber eats orders for me. Not to mention when I was getting $4 off per ride from Uber pool and coming out ahead on the commute to the office with $2 SYWR. And the $5 SYwR bonus that worked on pool! Was able to buy pretty much all of our shipping and office supplies on SYWR the past 15 mo thanks to Uber, well over $1500 SYWR.

Kmarts and sears are about to die out in my area anyway…

They just survived bankruptcy. Hopefully they pull through I really don’t want SYW to die. Best rewards program ever.

Was nice while it lasted. Was great for international Uber fares, like in Mexico where most Uber rides cost around $2 anyway, so a 100% rebate. When Kmart closed near me a few months back, this became a lot less worthwhile anyway.

Lol. They never did sort out how to make it only work on US-based rides. I used it a bunch in Europe last year as well. Love my business expenses.

I went to Vietnam last year and 1 Motobike ride only cost $1-2. Even made money by traveling by Uber. Lol

Oh yeah me either. The new terms started in 3/26 tho. Might be worth calling SYW about the week before. They’re pretty nice with points credits.

To save money with Uber, I bough the referral credit which cost me $4 and I will get ride up to $10 free. It stacks with Ibotta and SYW

You open uber app -> Free rides to see how much you will get for each refer. Basically the seller will do It so you get the credit.
email me if you need info
