Points can be applied at checkout upon purchase of qualifying item(s) meeting any specified purchase requirements.
Limit one offer per transaction per member.
Offer points cannot be used on deals flash items, food, household cleaning, beauty and health care, fragrances, cosmetics, office and school supplies, batteries, party supplies sold in the greeting card department, books and magazines, pet supplies, prescriptions, pharmacy, alcohol, tobacco, and items not sold by sears or kmart. excludes lands’ end® merchandise, sears hometown, outlet, appliance showroom and hardware stores. excludes mygofer.com, landsend.com and lands’ end® stores.
Amount of points awarded based on membership status and other factors.
Offer points cannot be combined with coupons.
Excludes clearance items.
If you have multiple eligible offers on an item or transaction, the most valuable offer will be automatically applied.
Offers cannot be combined with other points offers or discounts unless otherwise stated.
Purchase requirement calculated before taxes and after other discounts have been applied and must be made in a single transaction.

Our Verdict

Certificate seems to be coming immediately. Just beware many items are excluded in the fine print from being able to purchase with the Freecash. Some things you might find useful to buy: clothing, gardening, automotive, hardware, sporting goods, kitchen, towels, etc. You can get another $10 back in points for doing curbside pickup (that’s for Sears rather than Kmart though).

Thanks a million Doc! This offer actually worked for me. Like many others, after doing the survey I did not see the points in my ShopYourWay Dashboard and started worrying. Luckily I decided to just call the Shop your way phone number at +18009918708 to ask if they had record of my completion of the survey. After a few quick seconds the rep found it and applied the credit to my account. I was told recently by a different rep on an unrelated call related to some vanishing ShopYourWay Points that I had earned that they were actually experiencing some computer software issues so perhaps this could be why these surveys are not being credited immediately? Try calling and asking for your survey credit to be applied to your account and maybe they’ll be able to find it for you like my rep did. Good luck!

I forgot to mention that I let the rep know that all of the local Sears stores near me had closed and asked her if she could still apply the credit to my ShopYourWay account and she said that was no problem at all. Your mileage may vary but it’s worth a shot right? 🙂

As much as I am a longgggg time Sears/Kmart/SYW shopper, and want Sears to survive (despite its criminal CEO — or maybe precisely because of) I remain VERY reluctant to be filling out such surveys designed to milk/abuse the sheep. They start asking about family members, birthdays, addresses, their gift preferences, their hobbies (and I never got past that)….. and I’m thinking, ok, who wants to know and why? Whose data base will this go in next? How much will my email in box be forever flooded with crap “targeted” to however I answer these bothersome questions? Does anybody read 1984 anymore?

Thanks once again to DoC! Points appeared instantly. Don’t use the KMart app for this – go to the main SYWR full site, preferably on a desktop. Points expire 7/14, most easily redeemed on non-clearance clothing.

I see it, but I am having trouble redeeming the $10. How do you do that? Every time I put items to my cart there is no way to apply the $10.

It’s an in-store only offer. You have to physically go to a Kmart, and buy $10+ worth of stuff in a non-excluded category.

Thanks for another good deal! I was able to get some almost free tshirts for my child shipped free to my local Sears for pickup. As others said, the $10 free cash showed up on ShopMyWay but not on the Kmart site.

Never mind. I’m sorry, I spoke too soon. The free cash did not apply. It’s still in my account and I’m attempting to get customer service to fix it. I don’t know if it’s supposed to be in-store only, but the site clearly directs you to purchase online with their “redeem now” button.
