Our Verdict
Annoying that it doesn’t apply to shipping, but that would be too good to be true I guess. Still  a good way to get some heavily discounted items.

That’s how Shutterfly’s makes back their money on promos like this.
I’ve used their promos in the past, some of them on the surface level looked to good to be true. Then the shipping costs come in, which are unavoidable. Ridiculous >$10 shipping charges for some of the small item projects I’ve made through Shutterfly.
In the end, can be a decent deal on items that can be meaningful to you and your loved ones.

It’s not worth it because Shutterfly has overpriced shipping that scales for every item purchased.
Agreed. I had put a puzzle in my cart and the shipping was $9. I had a coupon code for a free birthday card so I created that and added that to my cart. Sure, the $2 card was free, but it added $5 to my shipping!! You’ve gotta be kidding me. I was so irked by those shady business practices, I decided to cancel my whole order and I placed it with Walmart instead. Walmart photo actually has a decent selection of customizable gifts.
