Our Verdict

Might be useful to some readers. Most people probably don’t want to go to the mall on Black Friday to get fee free gift cards though.

Definitely not worth the trip to the mall on BF. Especially since it’s before noon only.

They are $500 max cards. I’ve been churning the $1,000 Visa cards with $3.95 fee. I’m undecided on if it’s worth saving on the fee but having to liquidate twice the amount of cards.

Amex can’t be liquidated like VGCs. Only good for real gifts.

Even if the $500 VGCs were fee free, I wouldn’t go to the mall this Friday morning.
