Update 4: It seems like the issue has now been resolved and flights are boarding and taking off again. I suspect this will cause a flow on effect with other flights being delayed and connections missed for the remainder of the day.
Update 3: Seems like it’s actually Aerodata that is down, they host the weight & balance computer program. This means they can’t get weight & Balance clearance and are unable to fly until they can.

Southwest Airlines is currently experiencing an IT outage causing all flights to be grounded. At the moment no further information is at hand and the Southwest Twitter team is copying and pasting the same message:
Our Team is working as hard as they can to get this issue resolved, and your patience is greatly appreciated. Our Team in the airport will provide updates as new information becomes available.
Please note this is a real outage. I personally hate April Fools day and do not participate in making things up. Updates will be provided where possible.
