[OOS] Staples.com: $100 Whole Foods Digital Gift Card for $90

The Offer

Direct Link

  • Staples.com is offering $100 Whole Foods e-gift card for just $90

The Fine Print

  • Offer expires 10/28/17 (these often sell out earlier)
  • System is limiting the discount to 10 (don’t buy more than ten in one checkout)

Our Verdict

No reselling angle here, but lots of people shop at Whole Foods and love these discounted gift cards. You’ll also earn 5x if you pay with an INK Plus/Cash card or Amex Simply Cash. Last I heard, portals don’t work on gift cards from Staples anymore.

Whole Foods was purchased by Amazon. It is very likely that Whole Foods GC’s would become valid for purchases at Amazon in the future.

I think very likely is a stretch

I can add it in the mobile app but it still says $100 on the file “Place Order” page.

Be careful it’s an egift card. I’ve had bad experiences with whole foods egift cards. The balance on one of mine was drained overnight. Nobody was able to help and I never got a refund 🙁

Can you use an egift card to buy a real gift card? Then at least nobody can drain the digital one.

Shows as $90 but when you go to checkout it’s $100.

For the mobile checkout, you have to “check” the coupon box on the item screen to get the discount to apply.

I tried that (mobile version) and on the final screen it actually looks like it will charge you full price.

I was able to add the $100GC for $90 through my phone, but after adding my payment info the price went back up to $100. Tried removing and adding again, logging out, etc but I wasn’t able to get the discount again. Don’t forget that AMEX is offering 2X MRP for purchases at staples.com

Yes I agree, I refuse to save money with posts that contain grammatical errors. I come to this site solely for the sophisticated writing and the deals are just a side benefit. I will not compromise my intellect for fat finger fingered typing errors.

I think there is a difference between small grammatical errors and making things more difficult to read. We are happy to make changes to the site that readers suggest, but we don’t have the money for a full time editor.
