Stash Invest: Invest $5 Per Week & They’ll Match (Up To $20) – $18 Money Maker

The Offer

Direct link to offer

  • Stash is offering new users a bonus of up to $20. After signing up you’re enrolled in an automatic $5 weekly deposit into your stash account. Stash will then match your deposit up to $20

stash deal

The Fine Print

  • Any bonus funds deposited into your Stash account by Stash must remain in your Stash account for a minimum of 90 days
  • The challenge is only available for new users who register for a Stash account between April 1st, 2017 and April 30th, 2017
  • Taking into consideration the total amount of all Auto-Stash transfers completed during the four week period beginning from account registration, Stash will deposit up to $20 in matching funds into your Stash account as a bonus at the end of the period.

Our Verdict

Stash is an investment app, it looks like they bundle investments (e.g they have 30 different options with names like ‘American Innovators’). The fees are as follows:

  • $1 per month on accounts under $5,000
  • 0.25% fee per year on accounts over $5,000

First month is free. I’d never actually invest any of my money in any of these investment apps (are they seriously considering you transfer $5 per week and pay a $1 monthly fee?) but you should be able to add $20 in funds, get a $20 bonus and pay a $2 fee for a $18 money maker.

https://www.swagbucks.com/?f=11&q=stash Looks like swagbucks has a $20 offer plus $5 from stash for signing up. This deal seems to come and go on SB. I never signed up and have looked into it a couple times. I don’t remember why I decided not to sign up previously but the fact that I have researched at least 2 times prior and opted out pushes me to once again stay opted out. I’m not going to sign up but thought I would share it on here.

It’s time to withdraw! Just cashed out my Stash account; as soon as the ACH posts to my bank, I’ll close the account. Don’t forget to close it out; they will most likely do a $1.00 pull from your bank to fund their $1/mo fee.

Anyone seeing they can’t withdraw the full balance at 90 days I signed up 4/24 and I have the $17 promo basically still tied up today 7/31.

Do you just have to call to cancel?

I made the same mistake. It’s 90 days after the bonus posts. I signed up on 04/24 and received $20 on 05/27 so we should be able to withdraw on 08/25. So that’s 4 months subscription so this is actually only a $16 money maker.

Still, it’s free money so I can’t complain.

Data point: Bonus posted today. About 24 hours after my 5th $5 auto stash.

Calendar marked 90 days out for extraction!

Easy $20. Their app is complete garbage though.

Just a heads up for any one considering this deal – since this is an investment account they require all your personal details, including SSN.

The fee here is considerable and, in almost cases, makes it not a worthwhile proposition.

If you’re a student, consider Acorns for fee-free investing.

Otherwise, you may want to look into WiseBanyan, the only one I’ve found that is free of fees for all. I wrote up a guide to it here, including a link to a comparison of many “roboinvestors”: https://www.reddit.com/r/passiveincome/comments/5yg5mn/guide_to_passive_income_through_wisebanyan/

yes, but this website doesn’t use paid referral links, so it’s not a personal referral link

Other blogs mention referral links. Does a referral link prevent this deal from working?
