This is still around btw. For anyone worried about it reporting to credit bureaus as a secured card, I’ve had the account since July and it hasn’t been reported yet to any credit bureaus. I did not activate the physical card.

From the account agreement I got in July:

“Once a Step Account and any Sub-Account(s) are established, we will begin to report ifnormation about your STtp Account and payment history within your Step Account as you use your Step Card for transactions and make your monthly payments, but we will not report such history until such time as you or any Authorized User(s): (a) are at least 18 years of age; and (b) opt in to Credit Reporting, as applicable. To be eligible for Credit Reporting, we may require you or any Authorized User to: (a) have an active Step Card, (b) have a minimum number of transactions on the Step Card, or other activity on your Step Card in our sole discretion.”

They have been texting spend offers that were interesting though: 5% back almost every purchase in December for Step Black members, 5% back grocery for two days, 5% back charitable donations, 5% back Target for three days, 5% back CVS, etc. I think there were also some merchant offers in the app

I sent $25.25 over to Step from Chase Business checking as a payment. Got the email this morning that it triggered DD and my SBs are now pending for 32 days. I was going to send 850 to get the extra 3% match, but didn’t want to be greedy and press my luck as I have some bigger DDs to meet in the future. The deposit in the app said ‘Your paycheck has arrived’ in the deposit details along with ‘Payroll, Direct Deposit’ in the description. Pretty happy with this and Steph Curry’s performance in the Olympics!

Received email from SB that SB are pending until 09/02/2024, shows as pending at the top on SB account…that’s 34 days pending and not the 32 days the terms state…

For those that will have to put in a ticket, are you going to do another DD? I’m worried that only doing a DD of $26 isn’t going to be sufficient now that I have to put in a ticket. Should I do another for at least $500?

The $500 would at least superficially appear to satisfy it from the standpoint of SB/MP’s resolutions department. It might be harder to make the case with screenshots of just the $26, even though it doesn’t seem that the $500 is necessary, an actual requirement of the offer, or the real reason the Pending status hasn’t been activated. The promotional terms are awkwardly worded and joined to an unrelated paragraph about the Step Black status with $500 or above DDs. But arguing this with their off-shore agents is unlikely to be productive. I believe it is a data exchange issue between Step and SB, or a bug when using Android vs iOS with tracking enabled. Android seems to be a problem with SB of late. Or SB is randomly denying the benefits of a promotion that has been oversubscribed, and taking the calculated risk that the average person will not try to hold them to it.

SB so far has not honored it despite submitting multiple screenshots of proof, they replied with saying:

“Thank you for taking the time to contact Swagbucks about your crediting concerns. We have carefully reviewed your credit request to try and validate it.

Unfortunately, we have still not received sufficient evidence that the activity was completed, nor a confirmation from our advertising partner, so we are unable to credit your account. If you can locate and provide us with additional evidence to support your request, we would be more than happy to reevaluate this decision.

Please note we cannot credit without evidence of your personal engagement with the activity; generic images from our site or the Internet do not suffice.

As stated in our Terms of Use, we reserve the right to deny credit whenever we are unable to confirm a successful completion. In this case, we are sorry, but we must deny your request.

Thank you for your understanding.“

I also did the Wysh offer that never went pending either, only the yellow circle in the visited section. So far SB isn’t crediting or answering my ticket for that either. I’ve never had this issue with SB not tracking so much or crediting when putting a ticket in either .

They finally credited it today after almost a month after submitting a ticket. It’s not fully credited yet as they put it as pending for 7 days. Still waiting on Wysh ticket to be resolved.

My QDD posted to my Step account 3 days ago and yet the “purchase” still has not tracked to MP. Has something similar happened to any of you with MP or Sb?

Yes, two weeks later and no results. Submitted a support ticket through ZenDesk, no response from SB yet. I completed all of the requirements of signing up, and received several qualifying DDs within a few business days of opening the Step account, and no movement on the SwagBucks portal beyond “Visited”. I even received an e-mail today warning me that the offer needs to be completed within the next 15 days.

P1 and P2 signed up the same night, P1 first and P2 second.

P1 received two $25 DDs from Chase Biz (first was same day payroll ACH, second was standard payroll ACH – both have notes “Your paycheck has arrived!”)

P1 signed up on 7/30 and never went pending

P2 signed up on 7/30, still has not received any DDs yet but went pending on InboxDollars right around the time the first DD posted on P1’s Step account.

Not gonna open a support ticket because the DDs list my first and last name as the bank/depositor (sole prop) on the transactions list.

I don’t see it anymore on either accounts and one of them had never completed the offer so I’m assuming it has been removed from InboxDollars as a whole.
