Synchrony has sent out an e-mail to Marvel Mastercard cardholders stating that the card will be discontinued on 5/27. You’ll be able to make purchases until that date and any existing cash back will be paid out within two billing cycles. This card was first launched in 2016.
Just spoke with rep from Synchrony. Can’t product change or anything. Just a flat out closure

My Ironman Mastercard – “….Mr. Stark, I don’t feel so good….”
This was my go to card when I went to theme parks, and I love the Captain America shield design. Oh well, it was good run while it lasted, I used this card on a number of vacations since it came out. I’ll miss it but I have other cards that can be used in its place.
I got an email from then a few weeks ago that they were reducing my CL from $8K to $1,200. Maybe this had something to do with it. I don’t use it very often anyway.

Well, no more comments from waiters at restaurants that always asked what card I was using because of the Avengers artwork on it. It was only good for dining out anyway.
