I activated the groupon select on Wednesday, but haven’t got the $20 groupon bucks. Anyone received it? In email or on the groupon account?

My car’s all-electric, so here’s another shell code: VGQ4HTTTD3B3

If you use it, you just have to promise to give some thought to your next car being more environmentally friendly! :-p

Someone used the code already. I had a Prius Prime- great compromise between electric and gas. I got about 68 mpg. Unfortunately it wasn’t comfortable for my 150-mile RT commute so I got a Lexus hybrid instead. Believe it or not that’s way more uncomfortable. Sometimes the cure is worst than the disease. I should have followed my heart and got a used Model S!

Not comfortable how? The way the seat feels?

Yes (2016 ES300h) the seat is hard, the headrest pushes the head down into bad posture…it’s super uncomfortable. There is about 5-6″ of elevation available but my head hits the roof about 2″ from the lowest setting, so that limits potential seating positions. Other people find it fine, I think it just depends on one’s specific body measurements. I’m 6’2″ 210# for reference.

I had a similar problem with my Infiniti headrest pushing my head forward too much. But I eventually got used to it. I wonder if there’s some reason for the uncomfortable head position, like maybe it reduces injuries in collisions.

Steve yeah it’s more of a collision protection device than a head rest now. I got used to mine so now I just notice the awful back pain the rest of the seat gives me 😉

Steve, oh, if you meant the Prius Prime seat, it was too short of a cushion the leather stays hot in the summer. I can have the AC on full blast and my sweaty back would still stick to the seat. The cloth might be better but it’s only available on the base model so you lose some useful features. The bottom line is I drive too far for work. For a 30-min commute just about any car would be fine.

Wife’s car is a PHEV Fusion Energi 2018- love the Aston Martin look of the car.

We’ve filled up with gas 2 or 3x at Costco since buying it. With EV range she has averaged 250mpg, it has vented leather AC/heated seats and steering.

I ended up with a Fusion Hybrid for a rental that opened my eyes a few years back, but now mulling a Tesla when it’s time for me to get a new car.

Just wish I could a similar deal on Tesla’s thru Costco: 74 mo 0% and about $500 over employee cost and Fed Tax credit (I know it’s gone for Tesla) Mark

YoniPDX That’s a nice car. I thought hard about a used C Max Energi. The Fusion Energi seats didn’t feel right for me but my buddy got one. The tax credit is nice. On the Prime it’s $4502.
Check out ev-CPO for all of Tesla’s certified listings. A 2-3 year old S costs the same as a new 3 and has the same warranty (4/50k). I wanted one bad but didn’t want to spend $40k plus on a warranty that would last me about 18 months (I drive 35k/year with that commute). Silly retracting door handles get expensive out of warranty.
The 3 is nice- although you can sense they had to make compromises to keep the price down (vs the S). I did an extended test drive (Turo rental) and loved the interior room and autopilot (2.0 vs 1.0 on similarly priced used Ss). You can often find certified 3s with <10k miles for a $10k discount over new.

YoniPDX $1875 federal tax credit on new Teslas until Dec 31, then it’s gone. https://www.tesla.com/support/incentives
