Alliant Credit Union have sent out a targeted bonus for their Platinum rewards card. You MUST have received the e-mail to be eligible, in the past people that entered the promotion code but weren’t targeted didn’t receive the bonus. Offer is as follows:
- Get a 35,000 point bonus when signing up for the Alliant Visa Platinum Rewards Card after spending $3,000 in the first three billing cycles
- Must use the promotional code V107
The Fine Print
- This offer is not transferable and may only be used by the person to whom it is addressed
- Valid until February 28th, 2017
- Card has no annual fee
Our Verdict
We’ve seen targeted offers as high as $500 in the past (last time was $400), but $350 is still a pretty great deal. I wish these weren’t targeted as it would definitely be one of the best cash sign up bonuses available. I suspect they are targeting new-ish Alliant members with this offer.
I joined Alliant a few months ago (maybe Oct-ish) and they’ve definitely SP’d me a couple of times for AR and my monthly FAKO score. Sadly, no offer for me. My reports are frozen, but I’m not opted out, and I did get a preapproval from another of my CUs (SAFE CU). Maybe I’ll call them and ask them about it, see if they can offer it over the phone 🙂
For those interested, alliant is a really good hub bank similar to Ally. I got my first offer I believe last summer after a couple years with the bank.

I’m a relatively new Alliant member (July 2016) and have a savings and checking account with them. No targeted offer for me.

For what it’s worth, I am a newer member as well (August 2016) and I received this targeted offer.
aug 2016 as well for shared secure, and haven’t been targeted any of the 2 or 3 other times 🙁
What are alliant points worth?
1 point = 1 cent for either statement credit or gift cards.
Or deposit directly into your Alliant savings/checking acct.
