The Offer
- Titan is offering a $100 Titan portfolio when you sign up
The Fine Print
- Offer ends 11:59pm PST on Valentine’s Day
- Fees as follows:
- If you’ve deposited $10,000 or more into Titan (net of withdrawals), you’ll be billed a flat 1% annual advisory fee on your account balance.
- If you’ve deposited less than $10,000 into Titan (net of withdrawals), you’ll be billed a fixed $5 monthly fee instead of the annual advisory fee.
- Titan accounts that are solely funded through a Gift Card with equal to or less than $1,000 in
face value will be waived from Titan’s Advisory Fee (you get a gift card through this promotion)
Our Verdict
Seems like an interesting offer, I don’t really understand the specifics of the offer and the terms & conditions link seems to refer to a gift card and that isn’t relevant (update: you get a gift card that can be used for the Titan platform). Titan has raised $73 million so this should be a legitimate offer. Looks like you can withdraw immediately.
Hat tip to reader Ryan
On 12/29/23 opening, feeling the Nasdaq’s record prices were way too attractive, I went on-line and ordered account’s closing. To-date, banks received only ~$15 for each P1, P2, etc…What do you think Titan did (or didn’t with $100 worth of stocks in ea account??
i forgot to add: this is having a feel of Madoff re-incarnate
I noticed that this account no longer has a $5 monthly fee to it. It’s literally been removed from their fee schedule. So, good news for any of you who chose to keep any of your accounts, regardless of whether you cashed out your $100 bonus or not.
got my 1099 composite from titan today. I got the $100 bonus last year and then closed the account. DIV, INT, and MISC are all $0.00. B shows a short-term loss of $0.15. Got the email notification about the form, but it wasn’t there when I logged in. Downloaded the app and found it there.
I am confused. They have issued a 1099 B showing individual holdings and profit/loss. So we should report it ?
On the other hand another commenter wrote CS has said they don’t report promotional credits.
Thanks
well this is idiotic. i got a email that a tax doc is available for me online from titan. i login and cant view it because i closed my titan account in 2022 so when it tries to load the documents page, it kicks back to a ‘welcome’ page as if it wants me to provide info to open a new account…..
does anyone else know if they issued a 2022 Form 1099-INT, 1099-MISC, or 1099-B for the $100 bonus? I just want to know how to report it on my return since i cant view my own tax doc from them..can anyone confirm what they got from titan today?
Having the same issue as well.
check the app
Anyone get a tax doc (1099-MISC, DIV, INT, B) from these guys yet?
nothing from me yet but i have the same question. wondering if titan will issue a 1099 for the $100 (i received $98.72 to be exact) for this bonus
Nothing here. I reached out to customer service asking whether I should expect one, and this was their reply:
“Thanks for reaching out. Great question! Promotional credits have no tax consequences, so Apex will not report this on a 1099.
Let me know if you have any other questions!”
Good to know (but I’ll still probably check on Feb 16 just in case)
great to hear. crossing this off my list then that they are not sending a 2022 form 1099 for the $100
see above
There is an offer on Drop for 59,000 points for Titan (it was boosted at one point to 70k, may be worth waiting) and there is a $50 reward for a referrer as of the new year. The full terms and conditions on the link I’ve posted below mentions the change.
https://help.titan.com/en_us/titan-s-referral-program-BJyBleDBc
The referral is a link, not a code, so maybe some double-tab magic could be made, but there is also an option to ‘add missing referral’ in the app.

Did they send you a 1099-Misc for the $100 bonus and then also a 1099-B for the stock transactions?
I finally got this pushed through! hahaha. Randomly decided to contact them and they finally verified my ID and sent the SUB
I totally forgot about this logged in and have 89 left from original 100 bonus. I never linked a bank account. So what would be the best way to close and get the money out?
End result of the fiasco:
$5 added to Flagship as a sorry, please forgive us for the mess-up bonus.
$5 credited to Flagship cash (the original $5 they took from my linked bank account, which should not have happened)
Titan CS says they will issue an update on 6/21 that will allow people to make withdrawals smaller than $100, and that funds must remain in the account for 5 business days from when they were refunded (i.e., I will be able to withdraw the $5 on 6/27 since they credited the $5 back to me 6/17)
Good to know about allowing withdrawals under $100.
