Topcashback 5% Bonus by Selecting Payout with Amex Gift Card

Topcashback is now offering a 5% bonus on all cash back if you select to be paid in the form of an Amex gift card. You can also get a bonus for choosing an Amazon gift card, but the Amazon bonus is just 3%.

The terms indicate that the 5% offer is for a limited time only. Seems like it will continue through the month of August.

I have $98.30 in my Topcashback account, and the system gives me the option to redeem for cash via ACH/Paypal or to get a 5% bonus by getting paid in the form of Amex or 3% in the form of Amazon.

The standard Topcashback offer is to get a 3% bonus in the form of an Amex gift card. Personally, 3% isn’t worth it for me since these Amex gift cards have to be spent down, but 5% is much more enticing, especially when getting a high-dollar payout.

Terms:

  • You must have a U.S. address to be able to request your cashback by via Amex gift card.
  • For a limited time only, there will be a 5% payout bonus, which is the highest payout bonus on the site.
  • There is a $20 minimum load to the Amex gift card, and a $1,000 maximum.
  • The Amex gift card does not expire but has a $3 per month service fee after 12 months if there’s still credit/balance on it – so ideally you should spend your credit within 12 months to avoid the charges. (Some states in the U.S. prohibit cards with service fees, so these ones will receive a different card with no service fee.)
  • You can’t reload the card, so once you’ve spent the credit on it you simply throw it away and request another one.
  • The card will arrive with the credit already on it, so you don’t need to confirm you’ve received it before it is loaded.
  • The card should arrive approximately 7-10 days after you make your payout request.

Are other people not using TCB to purchase Visa GC at a 1.25% CB rate? I found this to be successful but have found very few postings regarding this method of MS.

I’ve been successful with Serve VIP. I hear there have been shut downs but I just got a new account and it has been going well for 2 months now. I feel like I’m doing something wrong bc this process has worked so well. Not much being written about it but I can see why…

Thanks Chuck. I really love this site.

So there is no activation fee for using the Amex gift card?

I have some serious reservations with this website. I made a purchase on 11/21/2015. I am still waiting for it to be payable… and the estimate is another 27 weeks. Who would use this site after waiting a whole year to get paid. There is no person you can actually speak to. only canned emails in return.

I’ve had good luck with TCB, I want to say payout usually takes 8 weeks. A large part of time to payout is the merchant confirming the charges.

I feel your frustration. Several of my purchases did not track, and after putting in a Customer Care ticket, it took nearly a year before being paid. The good news is that I WAS paid, so if you are patient, it should work…..hopefully.

The bulk of that time is waiting for the merchant to report the purchase, confirm the purchase, and then pay TCB for that referral.

That was already done over the first 8 months… now what?

Nice perk, was in a similar situation and requested one… will just pay the cable/internet bill with it, which is what I usually do with any prepaid rebate cards.

Really? Cable/Internet is one of the best bonus categories out there.
