Doggone it. Didn’t notice it’s 2AM, Jan 2. Missed increased payout window.

I started using TCB after DOC posted the $35 bonus a few weeks ago, biggest waste of time.

None of my cashback has tracked, when it works fine at multiple other cashback sites. Their method of communication and filing missing cashback claims is tedious and they say they will take 1-3 months for each claim. Other sites like Rakuten are super easy and resolve missing cashback within a day.

This is their response to my Staples claim:

“I can confirm that we have now received an update as regards to the status of this claim. Unfortunately it seems that the merchant has taken the decision to decline this claim, and due to this we have not received any cashback to pay over to you or to add to your account.

The reason that we have received to support this decision states:

“Item(s) not eligible for cashback”.

We are sorry that we have not been able to recover anything for you on this occasion.”

Don’t bother with TCB. They should worry more on their product rather than paying to advertise on DOC.

I’ve faced the same issue as well. I signed up when the signup bonus was $30. The initial purchases at different merchants tracked fine, but once I crossed $5 in earnings none of my purchases have tracked properly. I don’t think I’ll be able to reach $10 in earnings to qualify for the signup bonus if it continues like this.

Hello JD,

If you would please send me an email directly to [email protected], i would be glad to look into this for you and maybe give you a bit more insight. If the retailer said the items you purchased were not eligible for cashback I would like to research that based on the dates and the deal you took to see what I can do. I am the new Online Reputation Coordinator for TopCashback and I am looking through all comments and trying to resolve any issues I can personally.

Thank you,

Dominique

Nice payout, but might want to note that it’s not their highest bonus. They’ve had the VGCs at 7% in he past.

Beware: they will claim that you used another channel and stop answering your email asking ‘which other channel’. They will deny for that unanswerable and vague reason.

If you own more than one TCB account, avoid paypal or bank account because TCB will know. I agree that Visa gift card is the best option. You can use any name you want.

Wow, not sure I’d ever accrue that much…just in case TCB went under or something. And the time value of having it sit there instead of earning money.

If PAUL S racked up over $1800 from TCB in 6 weeks, that is some serious shopping.

It’s not a matter of length of time.
It is a matter of whether they TC does something to lock you out of your account or to have your rewards mysteriously disappear.
It’s your money and your risk.
I personally wouldn’t do it, and I nearly lost $25 with Ibotta which is pittance compared to your $$$.

The only one that ever pays is the virtual Visa (which, honestly, can be a PITA unless you can partially pay routine bills like your auto insurance online). Otherwise, you’d do better cashing out on paypal, transferring the money for free to your checking account, and using that money to buy a discounted gift card for these businesses with a credit card.

6% discount is pretty decent if you’re in between min spend offers. Nice that you can exchange for exact amounts too.

I’ve used TCB for a few years, but all of my purchases in the last month have not tracked automatically. I’ve purchased from multiple vendors, on different days, in a chrome incognito tab.

I’ve filed missing cash back claims, but those will now take a few months.

Anyone experiencing similar problems?

yep, I’m having a similar experience too. I just made 2 purchases on Amazon and neither of them tracked. they just told me that Amazon is denying all missing claims and basically told me I’m SOL. I’m probably just gonna stick with SB and Ebates in the future.

I’ve had very good luck with Topcashback over the last few years, and that luck continues today. The only merchant I’ve had a problem with is National/Alamo. They track, but National/Alamo never pays Topcashback so it’s a hassle to get the cashback. I’ve started using other cashback sites for these car rental reservations.

I had the same problem with TCB & Amazon in 2016 (didn’t track, and they told me they don’t accept Missing Cash Back Claims for Amazon). Though, my purchases at other sites through TCB have tracked; maybe just Amazon has a problem.

Don’t use incognito? It stops cookies which is how they track who you are and your purchase. I could be wrong but I thought there was a DoC post about this.

Exactly.
How exactly are they TC going to track when you are “incognito” ???
Makes no sense to do that when you want to track to get the rewards.

I’ve noticed more missing ones lately too. And anything subscription based I signed up for through tcb (Verizon service, Prime, etc) has never tracked once in my life or been reimbursed. For the most part I don’t have issues but lately it’s been a different story.

Cashback tracking uses cookies to track (transaction #, etc..) So don’t use incognito mode if you want cashback… It’s either privacy or money
