This has been available for awhile (since mid September), I don’t think we’ve ever had a dedicated post on it so thought it was worth mentioning. Uber offers something called Uber Cash, basically you can add funds to your Uber account in advance. You also receive a discount based on how much you add:
- Add $100 and get 5% off
- Add $50 and get 3% off
- Add $25 and get 2% off
These transactions still code as Uber, so will still earn the same category bonuses as normal. It’s worth mentioning that it’s frequently possible to purchase Uber gift cards at a bigger discount than 5%, so this isn’t that interesting unless you’re a hardcore Uber user or if you need your purchases to be direct from Uber to be rebated for work purposes.
