Uber and UberEATS no longer allow adding your Discover card in the Uber app. Some people who already have their Discover card in the app are still able to use it. (ht r/discover)
I tried adding Discover to my Uber app, and indeed it failed:
Some speculate this to be a negotiating tactic from Uber, and so hopefully long term this will change. This issue will become increasingly relevant as some Capital One cards move onto the Discover network as well.
A suggested workaround is to add your Discover to Apple Pay or Paypal or other digital wallet. Then you can pay on Uber with your digital wallet and have it billed to Discover.
