The Offer

Direct link to offer

  • UPS is allowing My Choice members to earn rewards when they set their pick up location to a UPS access point location and pick up packages between now and January 11th, 2019. Rewards are as follows:
    • 1st package: Free one-month UPS My Choice Premium membership
    • 3rd package: $5 in UPS My Choice Deals site cash redeemable for a Target gift card
    • 5th package: An additional $5 in UPS My Choice Deals site cash redeemable for a Target gift card and an additional two-month My Choice Premium membership

The Fine Print

Our Verdict

Most readers will already have a free My Choice membership from previous deals. Another advantage of picking up the packages is that they won’t be stolen. How useful this deal is will really depend on where your local access point is.

Have been unable to redeem the coupon code for renewing MyChoice Premium. It’s just spinning cycle of death if clicking Upgrade, and nothingness if clicking Apply.

Also, upsmychoicedeals.com only shows $5 worth of points for Target GC even though I’ve had 5 pkgs redirected.

$10 finally appeared for me today on the UPS My Choice Deals website.

…but as of right now I can’t figure out how to do anything with it. I hit ‘View Details’ and that screen shows zero. I hit ‘Redeem Cash Back’ and it says I have to have a minimum of $10 to redeem.

Guess it’s still a work-in-progress.

Update: Found it here: https://upsmychoicedeals.com/#pages/smartwallet

Can manually redeem there for your target giftcard, and there’s a coupon code for UPS My Choice membership.

Has anyone seen the rewards yet? Does the $10 (5+5) Target GC require signing up to upsmychoicedeals.com? I surely didn’t until today, which shows $0 cash balance. It was not at all clearly stated on the UPS promo page.

bax Did you ever receive the rewards? I haven’t received the Target GC or UPS My Choice Premium membership. I did sign up at upsmychoicedeals.com but near the end of the deal, since I also didn’t notice it buried in the terms.

Does it cost anything to change to ship to access point? Is there distance limit to which Access Point I can pick?

I was wondering the same thing (about when we will get the promotional items) and re-read the terms. I will be Jan 21, 2019.
All credits will be made available in your UPS My Choice Deals website account (available through
https://www.ups.com/us/en/services/individual-shipper/holiday-rewards.page?WT.mc_id=EML_MKTO_100209
https://upsmychoicedeals.com/) after the conclusion of the Offer Period, on or about approximately January 21,
2019.

I just upgraded two UPS SurePost packages to regular UPS delivery, to be delivered to an Access Point. Would those count? Has anyone received the rewards?

I always forward to an acces point its much safer and also arrives earlier in the day. (A deiver told me they drop off first at the access locations when they reach the neighborhood).
You can forward them in the UPS app once you create an account.

You can set it to auto forward all packages

This actually seems to be a well though out promotion on UPS’s part – the incremental rewards incentivize continued use of the system imo.
