USAA Limitless 2.5% Available in More States

At the start of October 2016, USAA launched a new credit card called ‘Limitless’, you can read our full review here. The main thing to know is that it earns 2.5% cash back on all purchases (as long as you have a USAA checking account and receive a $1k direct deposit) with no annual fee.

Previously it was only available on an invite only basis, then it became available in a few states. They’ve now added a many more eligible states.

Here’s the list: AL, AZ, CO, GA, ID, IN, KS, LA, MI, NM, PA, SC, TN and WA.

This product is currently available to members residing in the following states: AL, AZ, CO, GA, ID, IN, KS, LA, MI, NM, PA, SC, TN and WA. It will become available in additional states at a later date.

You can use this link and the offer will show if you select any of those states as your location.

  • Thanks for the tip! Instant approval with $10k CL. This will help my utilization since my Barclaycard accounts were all closed earlier this month.

  • This is not true, I have had the card since it first came out and I'm in Texas.

Also, I funded my Regions checking, $1000, and it did not count as a cash advance. Earned $25 (2.5%) extra. Also did it for the savings account, total $50 bonus by funding the Regions accounts with this card - truly a great card!

    • You were targeted under a different pilot program. Thanks for the DP regarding credit card funding.

  • Off topic: Hello, DOC, remember the zero card last year that said to get a max cashback rate 3% on everything? Do you know whats going on now with it? I checked their official website but don't find anything new. I registered last year already

  • Wow, if they add more states this will become the best cashback card, period. How is this not more widely known??

Re: the direct deposit requirement- am I understanding that there has to be separate $1,000 deposits every month- ie not just a one-time thing? If so I may have answered my own question- for many people, I suspect dealing with this requirement is too much of a pain for the extra 0.5% over a standard 2% card. But this also depends if the ACH will count...

    • I confirmed it is a separate $1,000 deposit with a rep. I'm thinking that extra .5% isn't worth the hassle either. I do not have a recent enough experience with ACH to say whether it counts for DD requirements.

Also, USAA does not move credit line around. I tried to see about a product change to this card but she seemed to think the $1,000 DD had to be setup prior to that, then I got disconnected and never called back. I don't think the extra .5% will be worth it for me.
