The Fine Print

  • Record your reading time over 30 separate days.
  • Have your parent or guardian sign the journal.
  • Send the journal back to the University of Washington by June 5, 2020.
  • This program is open to K-8 students in Washington state only

Our Verdict

I used to absolutely love these sorts of reading challenges growing up, it doesn’t even really matter what the prize is when you’re a kid in my opinion. Great timing with the pandemic as well. I hope more places start offering these reading challenges.

This program has previously only given away baseball caps.

Interesting that adult-sized hoodies are also up for grabs now. I’m guessing university athletics won’t miss them, given current circumstances.

The most egregious thing about that “sentence” is that it’s a run-on: two independent clauses separated by a comma.
