Walmart has announced that Walmart+ members will have access to Walmart Rewards. Walmart Rewards is powered by Ibotta and lets users clip coupons for certain products, earning Walmart Rewards that can be used on a future purchase.
As this is powered by Ibotta I assume this is basically just a white label of Ibotta and rather than earning cash back you’ll earn Walmart Rewards. It’s not clear if Walmart Rewards will have any offers that don’t appear on Ibotta or not.
Hat tip to DDG
When WalMart started, a couple of weeks ago, paying for employees to travel out of state to get an abortion, I quit buying anything from that murderous company. Not another dime WM!
Even for rape or incest victims? How about if Moher’s life is in danger? If you cut every company that planned to follow Walmart and others, you will be out of places to shop. jmho….
What danger..lol?
Tell me you’re a virgin without telling me you’re a virgin.
What state bans abortion in those instances?
What a strange reason to boycott a company. Providing healthcare coverage for their employees.
Name another form of healthcare that intentionally kills someone. Looking forward to your response.
one time, there were these conjoined twins that shared some vital organs and would have died prematurely, so in order to save one they had to kill the other. you’re welcome Ross
The dead baby doesn’t feel it’s Healthcare.
Walmart is better off without judgmental pricks like you anyway.
lol, you libtards and your cancel culture
The coupons are branching out.
Ibotta sucks
I have made $500+ over the past few years. Used to be better as with most things but still can get some cash back.
LOL, it’s funny comments whenever there is new benefits for AMEX, i don’t use the Walmart + benefit a lot, but when i do use it, it’s a nice feature to have to purchase a few things and get same day or 2 day delivery free…. Walmart carries a bunch of daily items that everyone needs. Who knows, maybe the benefit may end up being a good situational benefit too..
It’s not worth it to me yet, because Amazon is still working better, but if Amazon raises the price of Prime again I might switch. As it is, I use Walmart.com for some items that are annoying to find a bunch of in the store (I like to buy up 10+ sticks of deodorant at once when I run out, sometimes takes multiple trips to get that many) and just get my minimum order up to $35 for free shipping when I do.
I wish Walmart made it clearer what items are eligible for shipping and which are only in-store pickup. It’s actually possible I could use it more than Amazon, but figuring out what can/can’t be shipped is too much of a pain for me to know for sure.
“Lets users clip coupons for certain products” is not very exciting at all.
It’s a redundant benefit that I already get with my Amex Platinum card.
W+ recently hired ex Amex Platinum Rewards director.
Maybe beneficial for those without Amex.
Can’t wait to get $0.2 cashback for buying my grandma that ugly sweater.
Typical W+ clientele: someone who holds AMEX platinum, shops at Walmart and uses Ibotta to save some money. Pay $695 amex fee annually. Uses clear to go through security and fly in Spirit, upsets Centurion lounge isn’t located in the same terminal as Spirit flies from.
Orders $15.56 entree from McD to offset monthly Uber credit. Dreams of joining Equinox someday.
I can’t even make an coherent argument
What drives you to go into an unrelated post about Walmart plus adding a reward system to complain about Amex Plat? I feel like people that go out of their way are angry that their “Premium card” is tainted by wally world. The card had been a coupon book for years and most users are just taking advantage of the sign up bonuses.
Perfect
This makes 0 sense
But the card is made of metal!
Raymond CongestionCharge I’m guilty as charged. And you must not eat at McDonald’s, they’re not called “entrees”. They’re called “sandwiches & meals”, or “deals”. Nothing wrong with saving a few bucks… Git ‘Er Done!
That’s ME.
Except I don’t fly Spirit.
You forgot the cute socks from Saks
Some of us get all this shit for free and laugh at those that pay $695 a year. Hahaha
some of us laugh at those who think they’re getting it for free but are really paying $600 in lost interest by parking $30k to get their “free” card.
Nope. All Amex cards totally free…Plat, Gold, Hilton Aspire, Delta Reserve.
No money parked, try again.
Military?
He just described me! but I order Jersey Mike’s.
Hey are you picking on me? ! (Plus I picked WN rather than Spirit)
Getting the free Morgan Stanley version of the AMEX Platinum makes it complete.
So do these still count towards Ibotta monthly bonus rewards?
Most likely not. It sounds as if it’s separate from ibotta. But time will tell.
Personally I stopped using ibotta as they became more popular. Found I was spending more to chase bonuses and buying items because there was a rebate despite not really needing them. But it proved to be a good app for awhile in that I was able to get a bunch of free stuff I was able to donate.
Incoming new Amex Plat credit: $10/month in Walmart Rewards reward
Not a good sign imo. Walmart would frequently offer freebies through ibotta. Looks like those freebies will soon only be for Walmart+ members
