[Expired] Hyatt Credit Card: Get $20 Statement Credit with $50 Purchase at Whole Foods

The Offer

Direct Link

  • Register your Chase Hyatt credit card for $20 back on a $50 purchase at Whole Foods stores

The Fine Print

  • Register first
  • Valid at any Whole Foods Market in the U.S.
  • Valid August 14, 2017 to September 25, 2017
  • Must spend full $50 in a single purchase, it’s not cumulative
  • Allow approximately 5-10 days to receive your statement credit
  • Purchases at stores not correctly classified as a Whole Foods location for credit processing will not qualify for this offer
  • Offer not available for online purchases or purchases made through Instacart
  • Limit one offer redemption per Hyatt card

Our Verdict

Amounts to a 40% discount which is a great deal for groceries. Should even work on a gift card purchase too (update: people are getting success messages when purchasing gift cards. Whole Foods gift cards resell for 84% of face value so could make $12 profit). In some areas they also sell other third party gift cards.  Link your card with Drop or with Hawaiian Airlines for additional rewards on Whole Foods purchases.

Will it work for AU card?

  2. Credit says:

This is awesome deal. Should make whole foods less than whole paycheck.

Thanks for the hat tip. Feels good to be recognized at last

  3. Nicky says:

    Thanks DoC!

  4. BL says:

I also want to know if AU card also qualifies in addition.

  5. Nick says:

When I search the HawaiianMiles marketplace for the Whole Foods in my area (southern CT), it doesn’t come up – maybe they were removed as a partner? Regardless, a great deal and thanks for the post!

  6. jacob says:

    can u shop online?

  7. Abey says:

We’re sorry, there was an issue registering your card at this time. Please try again or contact us at if this issue persists.

    • blue9 says:

Try again. It took me two tries to get it working. The website is a little buggy.

    • Daniel says:

Did you try again and have it go through? I’m getting the same error message. The strange thing is i signed up for Uber Offers today (also though Trial Play Visa) and was able to register all of my cards except for my Hyatt card. Figured I would double dip since Whole Foods is part of the Uber Offers

  8. Jim says:

Wholefood grocery and diary are way too over priced and expensive for us and we are happy with Costco and th local grocery stores in our nearby Indian and Pakistani area for affordable , quality grocery. You have hyatt card but not taking advantage of this cos I still lose even my other this promotion

  9. World2travel says:

I purchased a $50 Whole foods gift card in store and already received a text, “Congrats! You just earned a $20 statement credit…” Thanks Doc!

  10. Winnie says:

Will this work at Whole Foods 365?

  11. Willy Brandt says:

Sorry, this offer is not available.

This offer may have expired or been deactivated temporarily by the advertiser. We have many offers though, so please try another one.

  12. Kevin says:

Would it work on other gift cards from Whole Foods? I frankly shop at whole paycheck. Do they carry other gift cards?

  13. YoLaViajera says:

@Kevin – I live three blocks away from a Whole Foods. No, they don’t carry any other GCs except their own. It’s still a great offer, since it’s a huge discount. Too bad one can only use it once. I’m going to purchase a $50 GC and then use it to purchaser 365 merchandise, as I need it.

  14. Nate says:

I bought a $50 Uber gift card at a Portlandia location and got the immediate response that I will receive $20 credit in 5-10 days.
    Thanks Doc!

  15. Azurik says:

Thanks DoC! I bought $25 of groceries I was going to buy there anyways and added a $25 Amazon gift card to make it over $50 and got the text message that I’m getting credited $20 back!

  16. Michael says:

Bought two $25 gift cards and got the message on each one of my Hyatt card accounts.

Was actually going to buy groceries originally, until I saw the prices..

  17. PT says:

Confirming single $50 Amazon card worked fine to trigger deal.

Only saw iTunes and Starbucks Digital so Amazon looked like the best choice.

  18. Willy Brandt says:

Bought sandwiches, drinks and a $25 iTunes card, and got the text 3 minutes later. Thanks DoC

  19. gary says:

not sure if i just got a surly cashier but tried to buy a gift card and was told i can only pay by cash for it. so i just left. i guess ill try again

  20. John says:

my whole foods sell amazon gift cards! this is a no brainer to get amazon GC at 40% off.

  21. Curmudgeon says:

Bought a $100 visa gift card and a cookie ($2!!! – for a cookie!). Didn’t even make it to my car in the parking lot before I got the text saying I’d earned a $20 bonus.

Thanks for the extra cash and free cookie, DoC!

  22. Peter says:

Finally went to use – Whole Foods prices are still at least 20-30% more than I think they “should” be, but I did find one category that was reasonably priced – beer! Walked out with $104 of beer for $64. Not too shabby….

  23. Sean says:

Tried buying a gift card online and haven’t received the text/email confirmation that others were getting.

  24. sk says:

have other folks got their $20 credit? anyone with any issues like us? we registered on Sept 4th, got the text confirmation, went shopping the next day Sept 5th for about $70, but haven’t got the credit yet.

    • Jan says:

Same here: I received email, activated online, got the text message, shopped at WF on Sept 13, but no credit. Have you got it resolved?
