Wyndham previously acquired La Quinta for $1.95 billion and these properties recently became bookable with points as well.
I went from Hilton to La Quinta this weekend just to try La Quinta for the first time. I do not like La Quinta style. I feel like La Quinta is trying to prove something not good. I would NOT stay at La Quinta again as of now.
I have not stayed with Wyndham for a long time. I did Best Western stay twice get one night complementary. I did Choice Privileges stay twice get a night complementary. I did Choice Privileges twice already. I did Radisson previous bonus offer multiple times. I did IHG points specials. I did Hard Rock hotel promotion. I did Total Rewards hotel promotion many times. I have NOT stayed with Wyndham in a long time.
La Quinta had worked noticably hard to lift its image over the last 10 years, at one point being somewhat comparable to a Holiday Inn Express. But I’ve seen a definite decline in the last year or so as management/owners must have realized the Wyndham takeover was imminent. We have pets and they were always free at La Quinta, so we were very loyal. There are many we’ve stayed at repeatedly over the years. Now they are charging a pet fee, so if we have to pay a fee, I’d rather stay at a nicer hotel. Absolutely no reason to choose La Quinta now, even with a whopping 900 point bonus.

Lol @Wyndham I used to get 1000 Marriott point just for answering how big a Football field is and im getting 500 IHG welcome points just for being a platinum member. You gotta pick up the “wynd” in your “ham” Especially now after you basically doubled the redemption rate all hotel properties that people actually care to redeem your points.
