[YMMV] 75,000 Point Offers For American Express Business Gold & Platinum

The Offers

  • Miles to Memories is reporting that people are able to get two offers on American Express business cards by doing the following in a mobile browser:
    • Searching for ‘american express business card’
    • Opening the regular link (not the ad link)
    • Or skip the above steps and open this link

The offers are as follows:

  • 75,000 points after $15,000 in spend within three months on the American Express Business Platinum Card
  • 75,000 points after $10,000 in spend within three months on the American Express Business Gold Rewards Card

Our Verdict

It was possible to get 150,000 points on the Business Platinum last year, although that was a mistake that it was made publicly available. 100,00 offers are sent out often, so I wouldn’t bother with the Platinum offer. 75,000 points on the business gold card is best in show (although some highly targeted offers of 100,000 have been floating around), but it has had a requirement of only$5,000 in spend in the past.

I think a lot of people will struggle to meet the high minimum spend requirements now that Serve/Bluebird are dead but for others the Gold card could be a good option if you can get it to load.

I was able to get these to come up by searching for American Express small business card via the Google app on my iPad.

I received a “please call us” pending review for the BRG. Is this like chase where you should just not call and wait it out?

It did for me and my wife a few months back when we were approved for the 75k business gold offers. Loaded $20k to Serve via Kate, no problems. Of course, no surprise our Serve’s were shutdown, so large promo spends are pretty much out of the cards for us now. Be careful Dan before buying loads of gift cards at once. Make sure your Serve card still allows loads. Some are reporting no shutdown e-mail yet they aren’t able to load anymore. You probably don’t want to get stuck with $10k if gift cards you can’t liquidate and a $10k credit card bill due in 30 days.

thks kent, but i meant to verify with you folks that Amex issued business credit cards loads to Serve (up to $1K/month) still count towards minimum spend for pts?

Sorry, didn’t understand your question at first. I don’t believe you will receive any Amex points or promo consideration loading Amex issued cards to Serve, business or personal.

You can load co-branded Amex cards to Serve (ones issued from other banks with an Amex logo) at the $1k max per month which will generate points or promo value in that respective bankings program.

saw the below link from DOC posted last sept. (seemed still worked for some but not a few others then):

This might be interesting to some, slightly off topic. Got a targeted snail mail letter with an offer code from Amex for a personal Gold, 50k points for only $1k spend in 3 mo. Paper terms did NOT say ineligible for those who have had card before…. and I had it, a couple years ago. Still I applied, terms matched on-line to paper copy and was immediately approved. To top it off, that’s 6 personal cards when only 5 are supposed to be allowed. Hopefully the 50k bonus will be honored. We’ll see.

On top of that, I got my Serve shutdown after a lot of MS over the last 2 years (got the targeted snail mail promo yesterday, so after the shut down). Happy they didn’t give me a bad mark on the credit card front and approved me.

I applied biz gold on Jan, 2015, and upgraded into platinum on Oct last year. Can I apply biz gold now , or have to wait to Oct this year? Thanks

I tried a few times, and I got a 50,000-point offer for $5,000 in spending. Manageable requirement, and I like the bang for my buck versus a 75K for $10K spend. Thanks for the info on this offer.

I currently have Amex Platinum business card that I applied last year. I’m going to cancel next month before the annual fee due. Can I then go ahead apply the Amex Gold business right away or I need to wait 12 months?

William– do you have to have a business in order to apply for the Amex Gold B?

Amex is one of the more relaxed banks when it comes to approvals on business cards. No, you can sign up for a business card using your SSN rather than an EIN.
