Our Verdict
No e-mail was sent out, but reader Ken found this in the special offers section.
DP: I didn’t know about this deal and didn’t sign up or accept anything but received the credit on my statement as I have a recurring payment to my BOA card. When I sought to figure out what it was–DOC came up in the results; thanks for all of the work you do!
I, too, did not sign up for this but received a $30 statement credit “RECUR CHRGS: STMT CREDIT”. That was one pleasant surprise!

I have several BoA credit card accounts associated with my online login. How can I determine which credit card account this offer applies to?
After you log in, click on the Tab > Rewards & Deals/Cash Back Deals and you will see Your cash back account: And thenthe account #.
Is this what you are looking for?
This isn’t a cash back deal. Its a special offer. In any case, the offer disappeared from my special offer page, so its a moot point.
In answer to my own question: I made a recurring charge on one of my cards. The offer then disappeared from my list of offers. I received the statement credit a on that card a few weeks later.

Sweet. I got it. 1/2 logins.
If I don’t see it in my special offers section then I’m not privy to this offer?
I’m currently overpaid on all my utilities, is there still a way to set up recurring monthly payments of $5 easily on the card when you have overpaid utilities?
It doesn’t have to be an actual recurring payment as in processed automatically by the merchant when your bill is due. It says the payments only have to be “made at merchants who generally bill on a monthly or recurring basis”, in the specified industry codes. So you can go manually overpay an extra $5-at-a-time on your already overpaid merchants’ websites.
Is there anyway to find out a merchants MCC prior to trying it? Or just assume by the posted categories and hope for the best.
John This might help: https://www.visa.com/supplierlocator-app/app/#/home/supplier-locator
However, I think the Visa tool is a pain to use, and BofA mostly deals in MasterCard. Codes can and do vary depending on the card network (Visa,MC,Amex,Discover)… which seems really silly to me, but I won’t veer off topic.
Thank you!
“up to a maximum of $30 in statement credits” sounds plural, but then the rules also say “Limit 1 statement credit per account.”
I think it’s clear you can do it up to the $30 max, tho that term is a bit misleading
