So, he got 495,05 cash from each of the $500 MCGC, after paying 4.95 fee to Plastic for billpay? That seems like a rather poor liquidation strategy, and don’t really see what Tesla has to do with any of that.
Do the new MCGC still work for the points? I thought they fixed it a few months ago, no?

Its already dead. Plastiq doesn’t accept Visa/MasterCard gift cards anymore. Not sure why this was published in the new year, since they gave lots of notice.

You can use at Shell or use the rewards for discounts at the market. Some places will give you money back. My stores won’t do that but if I buy a Vgc the amount will come off the VGC if you buy some other things. Ymmv
You can use rewards for other things. For example, 5 rewards for $7 off your total bill, or 7 rewards for $10 off.
My go-to value coupon is the $7 off meat for 4 rewards.
With this promo you could theoretically get $17.50 in discounts (as long as you’re not a Vegetarian! 😉 )

Discover has 5% for grocery this quarter. Will probably pickup a $100 Amazon GC since I could always use that, or convert to a Whole Foods GC.

According to the terms, Amazon gift card would work. Only fueling gift cards and VISA/MASTER/AMEX gift cards are excluded.
Looks like most 3rd party gift cards are fine.

This is the same wording as my 2 rewards for 50 spending offer. Amazon GC did not count.
neither did Best Buy for my 2 rewards for $50.
yes even though closed loop GC are supposed to count, in my experience, they don’t. i’d have a hard time buying $100 of real groceries at a Safeway at one time (and not throwing away stuff from spoilage)
Thanks usually GC are excluded for these type of offers in past. It was in the weekly ad so I think should be available to all. I also received a personalized one for 50 cents off for $100 spend.
I just tried a $100 Amazon GC and got 2 rewards. So I’m guessing it did not work?
I met their December ‘Buy 10 Holiday Items and Get $5’ promotion and even though my last receipt confirmed I’d bought all ten, they never attached the $5 to my account.
Also note that those get X rewards for spending Y do not cover even regular GC or booze.
I can confirm that Happy Guy Gift Cards do not meet the $100 for this promotion.
