[YMMV/Targeted] Delta Status Match: Get Matched To One Level Higher Than Normal

The Offer

Direct link to offer

  • Delta is celebrating five years of using Seattle as a hub. As part of this celebration they are offering a status match special. The rules are the same as normal, but you will be match to one level higher than normal (e.g silver becomes gold).

The Fine Print

  • Matched status will expire three months from date status is awarded.
  • Offer valid for travel completed within 3 months from time of account upgrade and will not include flights taken prior to enrollment.

Our Verdict

I think the match to a higher level will only work if you received the e-mail, although maybe it’s open to all Seattle based Delta members or even possibly all Delta members (very unlikely).

Wonder if this will work with the recent Hyatt/AA free status given

Speaking of, any actual DPs of these new challenges from AA if you have Hyatt status? The rhetoric in their release was vague.

Doesn’t seem worth it to only get status through 1/2020 — that’s like 6-7 months rather than 1+ year
