HT: Slickdeals
Chuck,
In the future please add “or while supplies last” if that’s what the offer says. I found this offer on Hip2Save and she did write that clause but unfortunately by the time I saw it the offer was already dead.
The offer didn’t say ‘While supplies last.’ It said ’till July 29th’. Amazon just pulled it early. All coupons and offers are YMMV anyway.
That’s not true at all. The offer was until 7/8/15, not 7/29/15. Chuck has that date himself. As I said Hip2Save had “while supplies last” meaning that Amazon had that in the terms. That’s why no one is getting upset about the offer “being pulled early”. Amazon (and other companies) is known to have that clause quite often. In fact, I always look for that to know whether an offer is urgent or not.
I don’t think the date matters. It was in the future. Amazon’s terms didn’t say ‘while supplies last’. They did say they can cancel it at anytime, which I think is standard.
Anyway, I don’t feel like Chuck needed instruction here. You obviously felt he did.
David,
I never actually saw the actual offer on Amazon’s site. If it said they “can cancel it at anytime” I am very surprised that Hip2Save used different wording as their italics implied that it was copy/pasted from Amazon’s site. Either way, for these types of offers it’s always better to copy/paste the exact terms from the merchant’s site so there is no confusion. I was merely suggesting a way to improve the announcement of these offers in the future to avoid any confusion. My main point is if Amazon DID NOT include “while supplies last”, “we can cancel at any time” or some similar wording, they had no right (in my opinion) to end the offer before the date originally listed. That doesn’t mean they won’t though.
yep, dead for me too, oh well
Just tried this but Amazon said it is expired. Assuming it maxed out early.
I also got the same “expired” error. That was quick…
