The Offer

Direct link to offer

  • Use an enrolled American Express credit card to spend $200 or more online at Zappos.com and receive a $40 statement credit

zappos

The Fine Print

  • Valid until September 3rd
  • Valid online only. Not valid at outlet locations
  • Excludes B2B gift cards and 6PM.com
  • Valid only on US Website

Our Verdict

Zappos gift cards can be sold for 80.5% of their face value to Saveya.com (including e gift cards). Let’s look at a break down of your profit if you go this route:

  • Purchase $200 gift card (-$200)
  • Receive $40 statement credit (+$40)
  • Resell for 80.5% of face value (+$161)

You’re only making $1 profit, but keep in mind you’ll also earn whatever credit card points you normally would as well. There is some risk that the price being paid for Zappos gift cards will decrease, but there are quite a few buyers at 80% (although none of these accept e gift cards). This deal probably makes sense for those trying to hit minimum spend requirements.

eGift Cards are tied to an email and cannot be resold. SaveYa requires a 16 digit code. I bought an eGC to actually use, but tried selling for kicks SaveYa wouldn’t accept. Post coming…

This is true. I learned this the hard way last time around. That said, you can buy physical gift cards since they aren’t tied to anything.

Doesn’t SaveYa accept zappos egift cards? GiftcardWiki says that Saveya accepts codes.

See my latest post – SaveYa will accept the codes from physical cards without requiring you to send the card in, however the e-gift cards are tied directly to an email and are non-transferable.
