Our Verdict
These deals normally hit their limit within seconds/minutes so you need to be prepared. I’d do the following if I was going to try and participate:
- Have the hotel you want to book up on the app (you should be able to have it set to the payment screen where you can enter the promotion code)
- Keep refreshing the Expedia homepage, the coupon code will be displayed there.
Personally I never have success actually booking these deals because they die too quickly. Up to you if you want to give it a go or not, if you do then best of luck!

It’s not off any non/chain hotel. The hotels are preselected and are only displayed at the time the promo codes go live.

By above, do you mean to first check the promotion code from the desktop website and then enter it on the mobile app?
Do you think that the code for 90% off would appear on the expedia desktop website at 9AM PT?
There aren’t any banners in the mobile app.
Or would the hotels just start to be cheaper for a few seconds in the mobile app?

I don’t know what the list is unfortunately! Just avoid any chain hotel and you should be OK.
