Free $20 for US Bank Visa Credit Cardholders with Visa Checkout

The Offer

Direct Link

  • US Bank Visa credit cardholders are eligible for a free $20 statement credit with Visa Checkout.

USB $20 visa checkout promo

Here’s what to do:

I interpret this to mean that you have to open a new Visa Checkout account (with the above link) and add the US Bank card to the Visa Checkout account.

The Fine Print

  • Valid through August 15, 2015.
  • US Bank Visa consumer or business credit card only. No debit, no Mastercard.
  • No purchase necessary, apparently.
  • Statement credit appears 10-12 weeks after Offer Period.
  • Limit one statement credit per person.

Our Verdict

We posted the exact same offer a few weeks ago with just a $15 bonus; now this new $20 link surfaced. It’s basically the exact same link with ’20’ put in place of ’15’. (I tried substituting the ’20’ for ’25’ with no luck.  🙂 ) Neither of the two links appear targeted in any way and should work for all. (I have not yet gotten my credit for the $15 deal from a few weeks ago.)

If you already have a Visa Checkout account, you should be able to open a new Visa Checkout account with a separate email address, add your US Bank card, and get the $20 credit.

If you already have your US Bank credit card added to a Visa Checkout account, it may work to delete the card from the existing account, then open a new account and add the card. You can even try doing the $15 deal and $20 deal by opening two Visa Checkout account, but it likely won’t work since it’s really one offer and is limited to one per person.

Hopefully the Club Carlson Visa which is issued by US Bank counts. I guess I’ll find out in 10-12 weeks…

so I was wondering where you got this link. Are you sure this is really from US Bank. I mentioned it to a rep yesterday and she didn’t know anything about which is not necessarily proof. However I just wanted to make sure it was genuine and I searched all over to make sure and could not find a way to prove it was genuine.

It’s hosted on usbank.com, so don’t see how it could be a malicious link. Link came from e-mail I believe.

Don’t see why it wouldn’t.

I only have a US Bank MasterCard so I guess I’m not eligible. Has anyone received the credit for the Capital One Visa offer from 2 or 3 months ago?

US Bank is SLOW. I signed up for the $5.00 promotion almost 6 months ago and just got the credit two weeks ago. That was after I had sent secure messages in months 2 and 3. So don’t expect anything soon haha…

Same. I had totally forgotten about that $5 credit and it appeared on my last statement. US Bank is just awfully slow with this stuff.

This is literally 2 minutes worth of effort for $20, even if I have to wait 6 months to get it. I’m in.

I haven’t even still received the $15 for the previous promotion. I agree with Parkerthon and have very little faith in U.S. bank. If I remove my CC from the existing Visa Checkout account to take advantage of this promo, I may not even get the previous $15 and very likely not get the $20 credit under this promotion too.

I have very little faith this deal will go off for most people without an issue. US Bank is incompetent and their systems are archaic. And like most traditional banks that have not truly embraced credit cards, asking for a credit is usually futile.

Can you receive this bonus on AU cards in addition to the primary card holder?
