Unfortunately Sam’s Club added shipping charges to their gift cards which kind of killed this deal. I’m happy to report that they’ve now removed shipping charges for gift card purchases again. My Mastercard gc were sent out within a day or two. The Sam’s took a while. This was a while back though.

Just got off the phone with Sams club, and they agreed to refund all the shipping I paid. I had to read the order numbers to the rep 1 by 1, and she could only refund for orders that have already shipped (still have 11 processing), but she gave me her direct extension to call back once the remaining orders ship. I’ll keep an eye on my amex accounts and see if it all goes through. Surprisingly good customer service, considering the horror stories circulating over the last few weeks.

Apparently their $45 membership card can be used as a regular GC according to a blogger. Cheaper than buying $50 (reduce the cost), and it always had free shipping on this one. I might test it to confirm.

IMO, not worth the risk. I’d rather pay $5 per $20 and have no risk of being banned than $2.5 per $20. Never know when Sam’s Club is going to have another useful offer, no need to burn the bridge.
I think for that blogger, too many orders of the same kind were placed in a short period of time, and not related to getting $45 membership card. Greed kills the deal or it kills you kinda thing.

That isn’t the reason he was buying memberships. Think about it…. they are fully refundable at any time.
