Giftcards.com Increases Shipping Fees To $7.45

Giftcards.com has become a popular place to purchase gift cards from, they have a rewards program that earns points on personalized gift cards and used to charge a $4.95 activation fee (now $6.95). In the past they have also released free shipping codes.

You used to be able to pay $1.99 for USPS first class shipping, but that option has been removed and the cheapest option is now $7.45 for USPS delivery confirmation shipping. This fee is per order, rather than per card so if you were ordering large amounts successfully (which I’ve been unable to get processed as they seemingly get cancelled all the time) then this could still be a good option.

Hopefully this is just temporary and/or they bring back a free shipping code but generally when things are too good to last, they don’t.

When they were charging $1.99 the envelopes used to arrive with a 45c stamp on the envelope. The remaining $1.54 must be their costs of printing the order paper, attaching a card to it and getting it in to an envelope.

What is the highest dollar order of gift cards you’ve heard being approved by Giftcards.com?

I have only ordered in $1500 increments with the free shipping codes.

Believe the max per order is $2500 inclusive of all fees and shipping.

It’s inclusive of fees, but it’s not inclusive of shipping. It’s also not inclusive of any discounts you may have from either coupon codes or G money rewards. That means you could order 4 $500 cards and 1 $465.25 card.

was nice while it lasted. I honestly don’t know what they are thinking. They were making an arm and a leg by charging 1.99 per card and then paying commercial postage rates. Maybe they were losing on their points system, but still. Glad i got an agfed account now…

not to mention that it is probably still first class mail and total cost to them is probably about $1.50. PGFHGS. They’ll lose the business.
