Our Verdict

Not sure this is worth it given the maximum denomination of $100. The standard 4x deals are much better since they work on all third-party gift cards and on Visa/MC fixed cards too; this deal is only on the latter. Go on the weekend to get double fuel points on non-gift card purchases too this summer.

Usually, every 1000 fuel points will get you a discount of $1 per gallon with a 35-gallon limit, a max value of $35 per 1000-points. (These details do vary by store and region.) If you buy $250 in gift cards and max out the 35-gallons, it’ll end up a 14% discount on the gift cards. You can also get free cell phone service with Kroger when you earn fuel rewards points. Use a card that earns at a high rate on grocery store purchases.

Today is 01 August and the digital coupon is no longer in my account, but is still on the website to clip. Does anyone know if it will still work today even though it has been removed from my account? I am also not able to click on it to add it. FYI – This worked for me to buy more than 1 $100 gift card in a single transaction.

The terms and conditions are worded in a way which implies that there is a limit of one card per day. Can somebody confirm whether they purchased more than one $100 card in a day and got the 4x points?

I plan to purchase 5x$100 to maximize this as always, but this promotion is worded differently than I remember from previous deals.

IF I read this right, 4X fuel point for $100.00 GC plus activation fee less 3% for purchase with my gas and grocery card. Unless I missed something, this is a loser. My max tank capacity is 10 gallons.

For a 10 gallon purchase it’s not worth it. Personally I fill up my truck with say 25 gallons, bring 2 gas cans for the last 10 gallons and fill up my other car.

Definitely not a great deal and I understand if this is not worthwhile but this is not a loser: you actually end up with 2.2$ in your pocket = 100 + 0.03*104.95 + 0.4*10 – 104.95.

thanks for the catch. What’s correct way to read indication of expiration date of August 1st? That is, will this still be good for purchases of these fixed vgc’s on August 1st itself?

Here in America, we read it as end of day as specified — 23:59:59. In France, it appears to mean it ends on 00:00 of the specified day.
