The Offer

Members can generate a referral link here. Then refer friends to BJ’s to get the $25 bonus for yourself and a good deal for your friend. Regardless, this is a great deal for signing up for a BJ’s membership at just $40 with a free $25 gift card.

The Fine Print

• Members must register online at BJs.com/bestie. Members may then invite friends to register via links to email or social media.
• You can refer any friend who is not a current BJ’s Member and has not held a BJ’s Membership within the past SIX (6) months. Both referring Member and referred friend must be 18 years of age or older. There are no limits on how many friends you can refer.
• Both the referrer and the referred friend will be notified by U.S. Mail within Four (4) weeks of the qualifying requirement being met.
• Each Gift Card recipient will received ONE (1) $25 BJ’s Gift Card that can be used at any BJ’s Club or BJ’s Gas® location.
• There is no limitation on the number of referrals.

Our Verdict

After deducting the gift card, it’ll be just $15 for membership ($40 – $25 = $15) which makes this a good deal for buying BJ’s membership. (Go through Mrrebates for 3% back on that fee.)  And the referral bonus is a nice deal if you have friends and family to refer.

Also interesting is that if you refer a spouse or family member, you’ll end up with $50 between the two of you and you’ll pay just $40 for the membership. Not sure exactly what BJ’s rules are on having multiple memberships per household, but I imagine each person can have a separate membership. Probably not worth the effort for the $10 gain, but interesting nonetheless.

Remember to use your Discover card during Q2 2017 for 5% back (should work on membership fee as well).
