- Domestic travel valid January 24, 2017 through May 24, 2017. Travel to/from San Juan, Puerto Rico valid January 24, 2017 through March 2, 2017 and March 29, 2017 through May 19, 2017.
- International travel valid January 10, 2017 through March 2, 2017 and April 18, 2017 through May 8, 2017.
Our Verdict
Always a good idea to check any flights you’ve already booked to see if they have decreased in price or not. Also keep in mind that Southwest have made changes to what qualifies for the companion pass.

G/F and I are planning a Vegas trip in May out of GEG. Looks like we can get a round trip ticket for 10,600 points Tues-Tues (6 nights), but she hasn’t earned the points for her CP yet. If we book it in cash, can we change to points after she earns her referral bonuses and CP and add a 2nd seat to the flight?
Here’s what you should do (I did the and thing last year before I earned the Companion Pass): book flights separately, with points. One she earns the CP, cancel the flights for you, then have her add you as your Companion on her flights.
If you want, just book her flight, then add yourself as the companion once she has CP, but you do run the risk of losing availability on the flights.
