The Offer
- Giftcardmall.com is offering a Halloween promo to get a $3 discount on the purchase of a Visa gift card with promo code: PumpkinSpice.
After applying the discount, a $250 card costs just $252.95 with free shipping. The max you can order is 9 cards and the max that ships free is 7 cards.
The Simply Best Coupons portal is offering 1% cashback on Visa gift cards. Dollar Dig is also offering 1% back on Visa gift cards (I verified with Dollar Dig that this includes Visa gift cards; for the next two weeks the Visa exclusion has been removed and it now includes Visa cards.)
- Order seven $250 Visa gift cards for a total of $1770.65
- Get $17.70 back from the portal
- Net cost is just $2.95 or less than .2% of the order
The Fine Print
Presumably, the Giftcardmall promo code will be valid until the Halloween (10/31/15). We don’t know how long Simply Best Coupons will offer 1% back on Visa gift cards.
- Simply Best Coupons has a minimum payout of $15
- Dollar Dig has a minimum payout of $25
Our Verdict
If all works out this is a good deal for purchasing Visa gift cards online to meet a minimum spend or similar. Bear in mind, however, that it does happen sometimes that a promo code invalidates portal cashback. If this happens here, you’ll end up paying around 1.2% for the Visa gift cards, which isn’t bad but isn’t the best deal for $250 denomination cards.
Ordering Visa gift cards online is getting more difficult as the sites now limit us to $250 denominations, but with this promo + portal the option is revived.

I was told I had to called, went through the same bs questions. then told ok it will be processed next day. next day I got locked out of account. called they first said ordered was cancelled risk assessment I told them how stupid since they verified and told me ok the day before. he went back and so. “oh sorry it wasn’t cancelled I was on the wrong screen but my account was still locked it took 4 days to unlock the account.
My order did go through and I just got them today, but BIG problem. there is no PIN and you can not get one added. its in the T&C that came with the order. Has anyone been able to get the pin added, there is no option on the phone to do so nor on the website and cs says no pins
Happened to me as well. Would love a solution but am assuming there is none.
I’ve got 3K worth of these worthless cards now too, because they have no PIN capability! I thought I was ordering from Gift card mall, so there wouldn’t be a problem. But instead the cards came from gift card lab, and it’s cards don’t have PINs. I guess there’s no way of loading these to Serve, ever.
GIFTCARDMALL.COM IS A FUCKING LOSER COMPANY. My order got cancelled, account is frozen, went thru the same process as described above…….
“Last week placed an order with 7*$250 VGC for $1770.65, and got an email that night to contact for security concern. I made the call today and answered all the security questions and was told it is going to be approved soon. Then about half an hour ago, received another email saying my order was cancelled. When I tried to log in, the account is “temporarily locked”. So I called and was told that indeed both my order and my account have been closed! Oh, yeah F U STUPID COMPANY…… But just feel ridiculous. Don’t be mad if you have the same experience. You are not alone.
WE ALL SHOULD BOYCOTT THIS BITCH COMPANY, AND MAKE SURE IT GOES BANKRUPT….
BTW, a funny story: one security question is what’s the street name across my home street. I literally don’t know even though I drive through it everyday. I said I can get it if they allow me to go to Googlemap, and was told, “Yes, go ahead. The question must be answered…”. So did I…
How widely advertised is the PumpkinSpice promo code? Any chance it was merely shared with a handful of manufacture spend bloggers so Gift Card Mall could use it as a way to identify and ban those purchasing the cards for MS purposes. I’m not usually one to think of illuminati conspiracy theories but how this has all played out is pretty odd.
The irony is that I simply drove 15 minutes to the mall (Simon Properties) and bought 2 $500 Visa Debit Gift Cards. The fee was $3.95 each.
A true no-brainer.
not only did they cancel my order, but note that they’ve frozen me out of accessing the site ever again. I would have to use a different email account and address to try to order giftcards from them, but I wouldn’t even begin to bother trying.
Same story on risk … I am worried that they asked me all those securitiey questions before cancelling my order … watch out for the charges on your Credit Card just in case
Ok, the final answer is that GiftCardMall “Compliance” determined that I am a risk. I ordered a single VISA gift card, and they think I’m a risk. I bet they’re under investigation for money laundering and have been swamped with government auditors.
How else could they be a viable business if someone can’t buy a single gift card.
I hope this isn’t indicative of what it will like to purchase VISA debit cards elsewhere.
I have been doing business with them for a long period of time. And my order is fine as it should, match address, no worry on billing and shipping, bank approval. Then they just cancel and frozen the account, call in and simple reply “no, can not help, bye”. Sorry man, never do buy it again, fee is too high. apparently they just cancel all these “promo” order in somehow?
PS: GCM no with giftcardlab and incentive card lab.. these two company are so BS as they should, CSR is giving out a feeling like “no, go away, no business with yo!”
Geez… I think you have all talked me out of giving this a try. What a headache. Has anybody got an order to go through successfully without having to jump through all these hoops?
I got an email requesting me to call to confirm and they put down the following in bold:
IMPORTANT NOTE: These cards are not good for cash back, online bill pay and are not free.
Ultimately they seem like a pain to deal with so I may just let the order get cancelled and go to Macerich instead to meet my minimum spend requirements.
