Our Verdict
It looks like American Express are doing some split testing for a rewards program on their Serve prepaid product, earlier we were alerted to a deal that some people were offered of 10¢ per transaction. That deal was better because it still made sense to use your Serve card for some low dollar purchases, it’s very easy to earn at least 2% cash back though so I wouldn’t recommend anybody actually use their Serve card for regular purchases.
It is interesting that American Express are trailing different rewards programs on this prepaid card though, I just hope whatever they settle on is a bit more interesting than 1% cash back.
