These are physical eBay gift cards which do not earn portal points in my experience. Remember, however, that INK has been earning 5x on these eBay purchases.
You won’t earn eBay Bucks on the purchase, but you will earn eBay Bucks when you use up the gift card, including if you use it to buy other gift cards on eBay.
In the past, it’s been possible to buy these discounted eBay gift cards with an eBay gift card, locking in the bonus without laying out more money.

Just an FYI datapoint, I tried to use up an Ebay Giftcard (bought from GCM) that I bought on a previous deal and it would not let me apply it. Normally I have been able to use ebay giftcards to buy ebay giftcards. I wonder if GCM won’t let you use ones bought from GCM or if ebay is cracking down.
Interesting, I hope they’re not stopping that. We’ll have to wait to hear more data points to know for sure.
I just paid 100% using physical eBay gift cards from Toys R Us. They are from Gift Card Mall.
Chuck, I have a question. Can you redeem eBay bucks, if paypal did shutdown your account? I just noticed (my wife’s paypal account is limited now), that you cannot make some purchases on ebay (where purchaser requires to use paypal for payments – for example, today’s deal $100 exxonmobile gc for $90 – I cannot purchase this card on her ebay account). Anyway, there is a linke “why there no other payment options” which says that for some purchases and redeeming ebay bucks you have to use a paypal account.
Not sure, but I’d guess you should be able to use eBay Bucks on purchases which don’t require a PP account.
Or you can use a different PP account. An ebay account doesn’t have to be linked with any particular PP account. I vary which PP account I pay with all the time.
