$150 in eBay Gift Cards for $135 with Gyft

[UPDATE: It looks like Gyft has removed the $50 eBay gift cards from the site. Money Metagame gave a working suggestion on Twitter to add the $50 eBay gift card to your cart while not logged in. Proceed to login and checkout. The $50 card is working that way.]

The Offer

Direct Link

  • Purchase $50 eBay gift card for $45 on Gyft. Use promo code: EBAYDAD at checkout.

gyft ebay deal

Each user can use this offer three times. If you max it out, you’ll get $150 in eBay gift cards for $135.

[UPDATE: It was pointed out that there are actually two codes flying around: EBAYDAD and DAD2015. In my experience, a single Gyft account CAN use each code 3 times. This means that you can actually get $300 for $270 as I mentioned a moment ago on Twitter (yes, I’m trying to get you to follow me). I don’t expect this to last forever, so take it while you can.]

The Fine Print

  • Valid through Friday, 6/19/15.
  • Cannot combine with other promotions or the $5 Gyft Card.
  • Cannot use a Gyft Card to purchase the $50 eBay gift card for this promotion.
  • Each user/household can redeem promo code up to 3 times.
  • Purchases made with a promo code will not earn Gyft Points.

Our Verdict

eBay gift cards are my favorite and a $15 savings is nice. Doesn’t look like we can stack it with other things like Gyft points (and possibly portal cashback), but I’ll take the $15 savings anyway.

Wait a second. Does buying the “gyft” gift card from gyft.com and then using it to buy another gift card allow you to double dip from portals? I.e you get 5% from a 2.5% each transactions?

So sorry. Due to crazy high demand, qualifying cards are now sold out and we had to end the Father’s Day promotion early. We appreciate your support. Happy Father’s Day!

EBAYDAD and DAD2015 both work saving me $5 per transaction for a grand total of $30. I also utilized a portal for 2.5% cash back.

Only 3 of my 6 transactions showed up on TopCashBack. Should I even bother complaining since the gift code technically is supposed to cancel out cash back?

Same here. The first three order with EBAYGIFT showed up. I will not complain since this is YMMV.

Nice tip. I didn’t previously have a Gyft account, so I got a $5 bonus in addition to the 10% discount. Came away with $315 in eBay cards for $280! Now to wait for the next 5x eBay bucks promotion…

Gyft just sent an email out saying “Forgive our error! We’re sorry for any issues you’ve experienced shopping our Father’s Day special.” I assume they’re referring to the denomination issue.

Well just did 6 using the two code method. Went through TopCash, made the sale, logged out, closed down gyft tab, click around in TopCash and repeat. Probably won’t track, but we’ll see I guess? Really just avoiding going through the offer advertisement on Gyft is all you need to do to be able to add the $50 denomination.

The receiver needs to have a Gyft account as well in order to redeem the gc, so now I have to create a second account for my “father”.

Wait, did you send the gc’s to yourself?

no you don’t. Just look in your account under order history. It shows all the cards you’ve bought and then click on reveal gift code. I just copied the number shown and hope it’ll work next time a good eBay gig comes around.

Use “buy” instead of “send” category. “Buy” category will give you the code for yourself only.

Thanks, did not think I could just buy them, since it’s supposed to be a dad’s gift.
